Monthly Mindfulness Workshops for Anxiety - Getting to Know Yourself with Ayurvedic (yoga philosophy)

  • Beehive Healthcare Northgate Avenue Chester United Kingdom (map)

We take mindfulness one step further by looking at the 'HOW?' we are becoming aware that it means living in the now, but harder in reality, it seems. So we look at mindfulness in a practical way, but always ending with a mindfulness meditation.

We get together to learn tips and techniques that aid anxiety and stress relief. Each month offers different techniques such as NLP, EFT, Meditation styles, Breathing (Pranayama), Yoga Philosophy, Self-Hypnosis, Assertiveness etc.

To lead the life you deserve. Relax, Rejuvenate and Rebalance

These days we are all consumed by ‘noise’ - whether it’s environmental factors, work, home life or media of all kinds. Our monthly sessions allow that time-out and stillness to move beyond the choppy waves to the calmness underneath the surface.

There are no levels to our sessions, whether you are a complete beginner or would like to maintain or deepen your practice, you lead your own session.

We are all doing the best we can, with the awareness we have at the time

THIS MONTH THEME: Getting to Know Yourself - Ayurvedic (ancient yoga philosophy).

Here we will be looking at personality types based on your unique combination of the 3 Ayurvedic constitutions. We will be exploring this through a process to discover what your constitution is and how you can figure that out in others. We will then be looking at what our tendencies are when we are out of balance, what our unique spiral is, and how to recognise the red flags and triggers, thereby talking about the different things that will work for different constitutions for when you are feeling out of balance, to get you back on track.

What is mindfulness anyway?

This helps us to grasp our progress and bring kindness to ourselves on our journey. Using various models that help to explain this, as well as my own metaphors and models that I have come up with that make things simple and clear.

What is mindfulness anyway? To me it's about being self-aware to be able to pause and make new choices (whether that's an emotional response or behaviour, or whether that's a life choice). But essentially, it's often classed as living in the 'now'.

When it comes to mindfulness the word 'meditation' is one of the first techniques that comes to mind. And rightly so, as it's very impactful to support us getting back into the 'now' and so for our returning class we are going to start with 'Meditation' as our theme. We will look at the various relaxation methods which help you reach a state of meditation and practice some in class.

It's not the only way, especially if meditation is not your thing. Each month we explore different techniques that support mindfulness which ultimately reduces anxiety. This gives you an opportunity for a taster of different ways and find the ones that work for you.
