My name is Thomas Stacey ( Tom Shanti)
My Yoga journey began as a teenager exploring different forms of meditation.
Having a Mum who was a Yoga teacher I grew up around yoga and meditation and even met the famous Teacher and Author Ram Dass at the age of 17. Having strong spiritual leanings I became a Buddhist monk at 20 and studied and practiced Tibetan Buddhist intensely for 7 years in a large Dharma Centre.
I developed a deep appreciation for the practice of chanting on those years and continue to bring that into my Yogic offerings today.
From 30 onwards I came to understand the importance of Asana and embodied practice and discovered hatha yoga.
I am a qualified Yoga instructor having completed various teacher training courses. These include with the British Wheel of Yoga, Karam Kriya and Patanjali Yogpeeth Schools .

Through the magic of Pilates I found my passion and mission in life.
When my husband had a serious and debilitating spinal injury it became my sole purpose to explore anything that could improve life for him. In doing so I learnt quickly to open my mind and heart to different perspectives and methods.
‘Pilates found me'. I was sold after my first class and I knew that this would work for us but the journey with Craig wasn’t easy, nothing in life worth fighting for is.’
The synergy with mind and body was so alive and fundamental to Pilates. The purpose in its application was transformational for us both. For Craig it was a miracle that he would forever maintain to keep his movement, and for me it took me on a different path…
When it felt like we were stepping backwards I would find us ways to keep the focus. I was incredibly driven and motivated by helping him achieve healing and progress. But even here in the middle of our struggles I didn’t realise that it was encouraging other that lit me up. It was just who I was.
Melody’s video intro
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese restorative practice. It has evolved over centuries to become a means of alleviating stress and anxiety. Recent studies have found Tai Chi to reduce stress and tension helping people suffering from conditions like Fibromyalgia and nerve pain.
Pilates is very well known for helping balance out many modern postural issues and developing a strong and integrated core connection.
The controlled approach to exercise mainly using the body’s own weight to strengthen the muscles makes Pilates low impact and accessible for every body. It’s mindful approach truly integrates the body and mind and will increase your awareness of yourself. Whilst it is slow and relaxing in parts it certainly has the ability to make you sweat.

I have experienced burnout and fatigue through a build up of personal and professional stressors including trauma of losing my brother-in law when he took his own life. After Adrenal Fatigue kicked in, I left the corporate world and my 14 years experience behind me and had to pretty much stop everything and take a real look at my life; nutrition, life choices, purpose and environment in order to come back to balance.
Having this kind of ‘endocrine or physical breakdown’ was the best thing that could have happened.
Now I facilitate other’s in their journey and marry my previous career where I loved mentoring and developing others, by enabling other well-being practitioners to set up and grow.
Everything I do is all about reducing anxiety and overwhelm while helping you to build your own self-leadership to follow what feels right for you. To bring aback that trust within that you do have all the answers inside.
This comes through in the meditative yoga and words I choose to embed into your subconscious, to the mindset work and rewiring of negative patterns and beliefs, all while showing you that I too experience these things.
With a sense of community and connecting you to the well-being experts you are looking for to walk with you on your journey.
